Shandobil Communications wrote and produced most all of the political ads and web videos for Proposition 46, the November 2014 ballot initiative also known as the Troy and Alana Pack Patient Safety Act. The ballot measure, which was supported by Consumer Watchdog and the Consumer Attorneys of California, was designed to crack down on prescription drug abuse by patients and doctors, and hold doctors accountable for medical negligence.
Our ads helped the initiative build big leads in early polls, but in the end, medical malpractice insurance companies and hospital groups spent more than $57-million to defeat Proposition 46.
